Privacy Policy

Dibsit ("we", "our") provides discount codes for online stores in the UAE and Saudi Arabia through a browser extension and a WhatsApp service. This policy explains what we collect and why. Our guiding principle is to collect as little as possible.

Browser extension

The Dibsit extension:

  • Checks the domain of the site you are visiting locally in your browser against a list of supported stores. Your browsing history is never transmitted, stored, or analyzed.
  • When you are on a supported store, requests the available discount codes for that store from our server. The request contains only the store domain and your selected country (UAE or Saudi Arabia) — no personal information and no page content.
  • Records anonymous usage events — that a code was copied, whether you reported it worked, and clicks to a store. These events contain no account, name, email, browsing history, or device identifier. We use them solely to rank codes by freshness.
  • Stores your language and country preference locally in your browser only.

The extension requires access to supported store sites only to detect that you are on one. It does not read, collect, or transmit page content, and it has no analytics or advertising SDKs.

WhatsApp service

  • When you message our WhatsApp number, we process your message text to identify which store you are asking about, and reply with codes.
  • We store your phone number only as a one-way cryptographic hash (SHA-256). We cannot reconstruct your number from it, and we never share it. The country prefix (+971/+966) is used to send you codes valid in your country.
  • Message contents are retained in truncated form for service quality and abuse prevention.
  • WhatsApp itself is operated by Meta and subject to Meta's own terms and privacy policy.

What we never do

  • We never sell or share personal data with third parties.
  • We never collect browsing history, page content, passwords, or payment details.
  • We never use your data for advertising or profiling.

Affiliate links

Links from Dibsit to stores may be affiliate links: the store may pay us a commission for purchases at no extra cost to you. This is how Dibsit stays free. Affiliate networks may set their own cookies subject to their policies.

Data protection rights

We operate in accordance with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law. You may request deletion of data associated with your WhatsApp number by messaging "DELETE" to our number or emailing us.
